I know that some developers are really happy with their job (me for example!) But I also know some other hate it (a friend of mine for instance) and think IT is the worst industry! Now I wonder, how much is there of both! Please vote this post how you would rate your job. 1. I hate it 3. Me not thinking much about it 5. Love it

It depends on your Co-worker/Boss/Higher management.

Not long ago I was just as naive. It takes just some quick and inomprehensible decisions by some bosses and you don't know anything well anymore.

I disagree. I find myself a reasonable developer. I'm no "in depth expert", but I always managed to deliver good quality software, better then some other so-called developers. What I hate about IT is that it has become increasingly competitive over the years with everyone wanting to profile himself/herself as the best and wanting to put their mark on the company. "Team work" is less and less of the order, arguments thrown aside and discussions finished before they started often leading to solutions designed beyond reason. Since it is a growing tendency, finding a company with a good atmosphere is becoming less and less likely. I was in such a company eg, and then they reorganized... In addition, the pressure of bosses and clients is also increasing. Just my opinion, no exact science :-)

Never do a poll where voting/rep points are involved. Most people will just give you one votes for the hell of it. ;)
