The perfect spot to get away from hurricanes. Although North Carolina's barrier islands aren't as hot in July and August so you might like them more.

Winter in Arizona has some positives; for one you can breath outside again. But, with the migration of the snowbirds comes more difficulty in getting into restaurants. Sometimes I like the summer better.

I don't mind the desert and the heat, we have Air Conditioning for a reason. Part of the reason I am mad is I was going to bring my girlfriend on an impromptu camping trip.
