Sometimes when I go to a forum I like to see only the unanswered questions, so I won't waste my time and everyone else's. Today I went to the C++ Questions forum, and right there at the top I saw the nice, big, Unanswered button. Lovely! I thought, as I clicked it. But wait! What's this, I think, as I gaze upon all manner of VBA, C#, Java, and ASP.NET questions. Surely I made a stupid user error; you know the ones I'm talking about; like when you're looking at C++ Questions, and suddenly you're not? OK, start over, click C++ Questions, and...YES! There's my stupid user mistake! There's an Unanswered Tab right there! Stupid me! I should have clicked on that! No harm, no foul, I'll just click that tab in a jiff, and be right where I want to... What's this! I'm looking at the same collection of random unanswered questions as before! OK, OK, I've learned my lesson, and now I have a suggestion (in fact, two): 1. Rename the really big Unanswered button to Random Unanswered Questions. 2. Rename the Unanswered Tab to Free Obedience Lesson. This will restore balance to the world, and keep from irritating the shit out of us peaceful denizens. Someone smarter than me can probably think of a better solution, but I haven't had my Turmeric Curcumin yet this morning, so please be kind.

    Best wishes, Hans

Thanks for that polite and well-mannered request. I couldn't tell, even by trying, that you hadn't yet had your Turmeric Curcumin yet. I will remove the "All Questions" and "Unanswered" buttons at the top. Removing these links means that when you're viewing a question, it's a little harder to quickly go back to the main list. I could hide them on the main list, but then you have a changing UI which can annoy people. So, the solution I have implemented is based on the following: When I choose "C#" from the Quick Answers dropdown I should see C# questions. When I set a site filter, those filters should always be used when displaying lists. When I have a site filter set and I choose "C#" from the dropdown, I want my site filter to apply. When I click on a tab it should show Unanswered, active etc based on the current list I'm viewing. The buttons at the top will be named "All Questions" and "All Unanswered". Clicking on these will show all questions filtered by your site preferences which will be highlighted in yellow". This is the one thing I'm unhappy about, since it's not really "All questions". It's "All questions based on your preferences" but that doesn't fit nicely into a button link.

Can you add a "Free Porn" button while you're in there messing with the buttons? EDIT ====================== When you have to explain that something is a joke... oh, never mind.

I should at least get some reputation points for the suggestion. :)

Someone should write an article on how different web browsers render porn. That would make a good article and may even win the monthly competition or something. :-D

You seem to be netting negative points at the moment.

Not gonna do it. It was a platinum voter, which means they've been here long enough to know I would not seriously suggest that you add a button like that. This really needs to be said - F*ck 'em if they can't take a joke.
