Go to the Nero site and get an eval version (their current evel times out on Jan 31, plenty of time for you to use it). --Mike-- If it doesn't move and it should: WD-40. OK, I've gotten to a point where some people would like me to "look into" Linux for them (They are paying me). I personally am interested not as a replacement but as another system to play with. I just downloaded ISO images for Mandrake-Linux 9.0 and have now realized that my CD burning software does not support creating a CD from an image. Mind you, the older burner that I just sold, with its software supported this. I could use this as an excuse to buy a new MSI Dragon Writer 48x burner, which comes with Nero. BTW I checked the msi web site, but there was a bunch of "MySQL link not found" messages and other crap. So apparently their site is screwy right now. Otherwise there would be a link to it here. Really didn't want to buy hardware right now. Many, many, many, many, many boxes filled with hardware lying around? If something else comes through the door the only way she won't kill me is if I say "I'm fixing it for a friend" :suss: I've been searching for something free that allows me to do this, but 2 hours later have not found anything. And I don't know where else to look. Any suggestions????

If it ain't broke, fix it till it isWhat about CDmage[^], it seems to support ISO images, is completely free and is a stand alone executable and not an install package? Another option is WinISO. It opens iso files like it was a zip file. Can be very handy. It will also create iso files, also quite handy Programming in binary is as easy as 01 10 11.
Have you tried daemon tools? It lets you mount iso's, bin/cue's, DVD images, etc. You get a new drive letter to open. Very very handy. http://www.daemon-tools.com[^] -- Only in a world this shitty could you even try to say these were innocent people and keep a straight face.

If it ain't broke, fix it till it isCDRWin - www.goldenhawk.com I think the demo/trial will only burn at 1x, but if all you need is a one-off or so, then it's better than nothing. FireBurner is similar to CDRwin, supports same cue sheets. Nero can be download from pretty much everywhere. Google for it.

If it ain't broke, fix it till it isWell I used the demo from Nero last night and install Linux 9 from Mandrake on my laptop. I've been sitting here all morning playing with it. This version allows you to access the CD-ROM and Floppy almost like Windows. Last version that I played with didn't. They did a great job on this edition, easier to use and more toys. I am very impressed. Still though, give it another year or two. I am looking at some of the suggestions above ( new toys for a "software junkie" ) Thank You everyone for the suggestions. As always, if you need something, post it in the Lounge on CP and get good answers fast. ;) Now, off to figure this thing out. OK, maybe later.
