Nice. Too heavy for my feeble wrist though...

Hey! You can pass that cost on (with the watch) to generations as yet unborn!

I doubt the Ickles will want my watch; we'll see. They will inherit Mrs Wife's extensive collection of watches and jewellery, so I doubt if they'll complain.

I could just about afford one now. If I hadn't had a fortunate windfall, I would never have bought it.

Your carrier can track it, but as soon as you tell them it's stolen they'll just block it. So you can, but they won't.

Hey, is it me, or are you less in the Lounge as you used to ? It's been a long time since I last saw this indexed 86.

:wtf: I mean, wow, a Rolex. A matter of taste, but I really don't like the design ( People usually laugh at me when I say that "Yes, of course, the only reason why you are not buying a Rolex is because you do not like the design"). I've been looking for years for a watch I like, but I find most designs either too poor, or .. too expensive. The last I had in focus was the automatic PRS516 from Tissot[^] but it is too large for my wrist (45 whereas 42 would have been better). :sigh:

See Nagy's answer. Yes, I figured that as well, but it is only that I remembered him being more around than 5 posts/a month, that's all.

                    0. I like the design; it is a classic and honestly understated. 1. I wear it pretty much 24/7. Only if I'm doing really dirty work, and I remember, do I take it off. 2. I was buying new watches - ~£100 every six-months to a year. So the £2,500 it's cost [with services] over 17 years is a bargain. :-D 3. I was only able to afford it because I had a windfall and I wanted to treat myself. I would never get away with spending that much on myself now.

Definitely less than I used too, mainly it's the new job I started about a year ago. Took me a while to work out what's acceptable around here in terms of browsing, and I have a much more hands on boss than I used too :) I'm trying to get back into it though.

Does that mean we can goad you into posting more by laughing cruelly at your photo?

Oh she would find out. Trust me, she would find out. 0. A £400 tablet so she can read the paper on the way to work? Okay. 1. A new pc [unpriced] so I can work at home? Vetoed. 2. A new suit for me resulted in "having" to buy her a new outfit. 3. A new handbag [a gift from NY I thought she'd like] was too expensive and she had nothing to go with it so the search is on for a suitable outfit. Bring on the chickens! I'm used to be hen-pecked.
