Wow... I know the food is pretty bad at McD's, but I didn't know it was THAT bad.

Well a couple of days ago there was a post about wanting more restrooms. I do not know if that would be a good idea. :)

Probably some kind of industrial cleaner, badly used, that created some kind of gas. Phosphene perhaps? --edit-- I am not serious about phosphene, you would be unlikely to produce it with commonly available stuff. Chlorine gas is more likely, and nasty, as witnessed in WW1.

I suspect it may have been a clean up person who inadvertently mixed bleach with ammonia (or something related) while cleaning. ---edit---- Probably a good reason for all cleaning supplies to have picture warnings on labels or be written in at least 2nd grade Spanish.

You're probably half right. Fox is reporting[^] a mix of cleaners. Chlorine bleach and ammonia are are the obvious suspects; the toxic products they produce is are chlorine gas, chloramine, and (depending on the ratios of chemicals) hydrazine.

I was going to suggest releasing a bit of nitrogen tetraoxide instead; but after checking that's used with different[^] hydrazines.[^]
