Sorry to interrupt the rugby, football, soccer and cricket posts. First (pre-season) hockey game on television tonight! This summer has been tough for the hockey world, here's to a good season! Go Habs Go!
The term 'Hockey World' confuses me. Do you mean 'Hockey North American Continent' where it is occasionally popular with a small demographic?

The Blackhawks preseason game was only streamed on the web, with no score or time on the screen. It was literally a feed from the stadium. Anyways, Johnny Toews' little brother joining the team (and his line) may be the start of a family dynasty over here! Too bad he's the size of Kane, good thing we picked up a ton of scrappers on D.

That's a great team (and jersey!). It's sad we don't get to see the Hawks and Toews more often in the Eastern Conference...

Yup...go Canucks go! Montreal is my backup team which I have perpetual right to call because I was born there. I think we can both agree unequivocally that the Leafs suck! I thought I was going to be burned out from the disappointing end to the playoffs and not interested until deeper in the season but I'm finding myself really into it this time. Here's hoping for a Canucks / Habs Stanley cup final.

Maybe there's a chance... both our teams took the champs to 7 games last year! :~ Being a Montreal born Habs fan I can't make any jokes about your burned out comment, but I'll seriously say that it's sad that the true Vancouver spririt that was shown in the hours and days after the events didn't get as much media attention as the stupid acts of a bunch of punks. :mad: Cheers!

Ha, I didn't mean it that way, didn't even think of it to be honest. Meh. I don't live in Vancouver, it was just a bunch of young punks and just a spectacle to me to take my mind off the horrible end of the season. That crap happens much worse all over the world regularly, it just got more press due to circumstances and location.
