cool, but you seem to have a bug or two. search for the following CTabCtrl Hello Hello World FoxNews You'll notice that the results of the previous searches are mixed in. A search for FoxNews should *not* return an MSDN link pointing to CTabCtrl

So, this afternoon I snapped. I got so fed up with wading through ******** aggregator site listings and pay sites that I decided to do something about it! You know the sites - there are the ones who just strip everything from the msdn forums and then serve them back in a completely unintelligable format packed with adverts or those (like ExpertSexChange) that require a subscription which you are never going to pay for. Anyway my solution is to use the bing search api which I can then rub up against a whitelist and blacklist of sites to filter/order the results so that I get the ones that I really want at the top. If anyone else wants to have a play then go to http://search.it-workplace.com It's very simple but does what I want!

Did you know you can block that stuff on google? You just have to go to the site and then hit back to go back to your search and there will be a link to block all sites on that domain from future searches. It's pretty handy

Where? Just tried it and I could not see any option to block a site (I tried logging in as well)

You have to go to the site from your search results (without opening in a new tab) and then go back and it will magically show up.

I was opening in another window (I always do by force of habit) but even if I open the link in the same window then hit back I do not see anything that allows me to block the site. Are you subscribing to any other Google services? Is it a browser option?

Hmmm. Well I am sure that you have to be signed in for it to work, but here is a screenshot of how it looks on my system: http://ScrnSht.com/rcjeaw[^]

What browser. I see it in FF, but not opera. OTOH since I middle click my search results the current implemenation is as worthless as the 90% of ExpertSexChange's pages that my ad blocker currently devours.

Ah FF it is! Doesn't rank the sites I like higher though.
