That was on the top of my list for 'next phone', but waiting to see the official specs of the Nexus Prime (3rd Gen Google phone built by Samsung) which is due to be announced on October 11th.

Same here. I am having Nexus One right and pretty much happy with it except the internal memory. Its so limited that I am not able to install more application. I am still not fan of Samsung. But the rumor says Prime is going to be in Steel. Lets see!

You have your own galaxy? I would settle for a nice house on some nice planet in one of the Magellan Clouds. Must be a sight to see the entire galaxy come up over the horizon :)

And from the clouds a mighty voice spoke:
"Smile and be happy, for it could come worse!"

And I smiled and was happy
        And it came worse.

You have moved some of the Apps from the internal memory to the SD Card to free internal memory?

Yep. I did. But the memory is not enough after that too. You should know, N1 has only 512MB internal memory and almost 300MB used by the OS itself.

You must have some amount of crap on the phone then, I have just checked my N1, and all possible apps have been moved to the SD card, and still have 70MB internal free. (it is currently running Android 2.3.6) I could probably still dump apps I don't use, but no point seeing as I haven't run out of space.

Not really. I have 45MB left. It is running 2.3.6 only. This 45MB limits me. If I install another 2 games, I would get low disk space warning.

I guess you are using just to make calls ;P . May be you use Gmail App and Browser. You could install games and there are lots and lots of games available in Android.

 - and the 'Galaxy' was a real bargain - just had to renew a 2 year contract with a data plan along with a few $$$ :sigh: it did take a while getting the 'sold' sign to stay put (damn Black Holes)!

Replying to an old post I know... But... I just got a Galaxy S2 today and I am amazed at how well it performs and what it can do. It was a bit of a decision between the iPhone and Galaxy S2 for me - the thing that did it for me was the possibility of Android development on a free SDK. The shop assistant told me how she had herself swapped her iPhone for a Galaxy S2. Great phone!

Now, if only AT&T would get off their behinds and make ICS available for the phone :sigh:

It seems to be picking up some momentum - I just checked online and in the UK O2, my provider, apparently provide it via Samsung's Kies. I am going to wait a bit first to let others sort the bugs out.. I do find it strange that the US is not ahead in this as the market is much larger in the US than the UK.
