Steve Jobs, RIP

Really sad news. That was very short time after his resignation. You will be missed Steve. :( Is this good word to use in the news ? like 'Steve Jobs is dead'. I sounds same as Osama is dead. feels without respect.

Steve Jobs on death: No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true. In his own words[^] Excerpts from this commencement speech led the evening news on the west coast tonight. Little long, but interesting. :rose:
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
I just linked to that same page above. Did not see that you had.

It's very inspiring.... "Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary." hats off to the legend...may hi soul rest in peace...:rose:

I've been a Microsoft guy since the beginning, but there was simply no comparison to Steve. Not even Bill. Passionate and visionary, he was a true geek hero. I knew this was coming. I just didn't think it would be this soon. Flying Apple colors to the last, he wouldn't even let himself die until the day after their annual product announcements, so as not to impede it. Inspirational to the very end. :rose:

Yes, my favorite speech, better in his own voice. "you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards"

Personally for me, I think its better if they use the word "has passed away" than "is dead".
Signature construction in progress. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Yes, That's what I also thought. In my language no one will use word 'Dead' for friends and family. it considered rude, you can use it for animals or things...

Wow. Not unexpected, but not expected so soon after leaving Apple. His passing is an incalculable loss to our entire industry. His vision and creativity directed not only Apple, but affected the direction of every company that surrounds us. I raise a  to his genius and send a :rose: to his family. Thoughts and prayers be with them.

Google.com has a direct link to apple.com - surely a first?! (i.e. a link to an external site off their home page)

A nice gesture recognizing Steve's minimalist style. And don't call me Shirley.
