The best clue I've read in a while: Glass-cutter? (4,2,1,6) It's from http://www.guardian.co.uk/crosswords/cryptic/22018[^] if anyone fancies the whole crossword as a bit of a sunday night wind-down before the joy of monday morning ;)

Excellent! I attempt the Guardian Prize Crossword every Saturday - usually set by Auracaria and he's pretty tough. Note - I said 'attempt'. My very favourite clue (from years back), is: ABCDEFGPQRSTUVWXYZ (9)

Correct! Very good - it took me much longer than that to get it.

Thanks. It's one of those you either get in a few seconds or not. About a year ago, I got 3 CCCs in a couple of weeks, and haven't got close to one since. Cheers, Peter
