I decided I needed to play games on my computer. So I upgaded to XP Pro. The only upgrade path from Win2000 $135.00 Then found out my old Sidewinder won't work on XP. So got a new Sidewinder. $40.00 Excited, I went and bought a cool game. $47.00 My NVidia graphics card only has 16MB and would not run the game very well. So I got an ATI Radeon 9000 128MB $150.00 The ATI card does not work as good as my nVidia. After several long distant calls to ATI they determined my card was bad. Off to the store to exchange it I go. The new one does the same thing. After several trips to the store, 5 phone calls to Canada, $372 of Hardware/software I did not really need, and a piece of junk ATI card. I concluded that games should be left for the experts "SONY PLAYSTATION II". A few more paydays and I will have enough money to get one! Kevin

We brought out this new and very similar version of our expensive software because the old version was......old....It's a good enough excuse for Microsoft so its fine for us.

I've just spent a week of the holiday season hidden away with my PS2 and managed to finally play Final Fantasy 10 & Metal Gear Solid 2 after owning them for months. Cracking stuff :)

"The ATI card does not work as good as my nVidia." That's weird I had exactly the opposite experience building my new machine. The first nVidia card I bought never worked well. I bought an ATI 8500, it has worked well. There is some serious voodoo necessary with those high-end graphic cards. You probably forgot to sacrifice a live chicken before installing the card. :) Neil Van Eps

and halo for the xbox was out in Nov 2001... So what. He's not going back in time. Halo for the PC is supposed to be out in six months. He should pay for an XBox and Halo to get it a few months early? i chose the xbox over the ps2 because its target demographic is schmucks like me, mid 30's, pc gamer, tech oriented, where the ps2 is targeted at mid-teens and the game cube is targeted at early and pre-teens,, on average the games and marketing would appeal to me more than the other platforms,, Bah. PS2 has more mature games than XBox. Show me anything like Grand Theft Auto on the XBOX. Perhaps you have the order mixed up. ------------------------------------------ "Isn't it funny how people say they'll never grow up to be their parents, then one day they look in the mirror and they're moving aircraft carriers into the Gulf region?" - The Onion

I was ready to sacrifice an animal, but the tech support people could not tell me which one to sacrifice. I suggested the cat. Kevin

Use XBox for gaming, I just bought it tonight and it is awesome. I really want to try "Splinter Cell", but I think I have a pretty good game now, "Dead to Rights". p.s. "Dead to Rights" has a strip scene in it. ;P
