I know domestic beers bears do because I've seen them do it at the zoo but I don't know about wild bears. I wonder if they roar when pinching a loaf?

It isn't the bacon, it's the oxygen. That's how cutting torches work, you generate the initial heat with a fuel and oxygen, but the cutting is done by the molten metal being combusted with the oxygen. Once this process is initiated, then the initial fuel source can be turned off (or the bacon removed :rolleyes: ) and the metal cutting will continue.
