I don't blog that much because I've been doing this so long that it seems obvious to me (and by extension, the rest of the Universe) what we do here and what's happening. However, on reflection, it seems this may be over-estimating the mind reading abilities of everyone and under-estimating the obviousness of it all. If I were to blog on a regular basis about what's going on, what things would you be most interested in reading about?

When you went shopping, what you had for dinner, who you met in the supermarket. Oh wait, no, that's what facewaste is for.

Since I don't yet know what's going on, how can I answer that question?

How about; How you are developing the hardware and infrastructure of the site. How you are developing the storage subsystem (database + article downloads etcs.) What current things you are working on to improve and how things are going. More STATS! how about letting us see some of the GAnalytics data? Also, when you release updates to the site, what are the changes etc. etc. When things go bad, how about a miniteardown of the occurrence and more gory details? On the GA stuff, are you using the new live stats yet (have you applied for them even) ? (How about also having a bug and suggestion tracker on the site somewhere, where we can see whats fixed, in progress etc)

Anything you think is of value can be added. The day to day work schedule, the author interviews, some pictures of the CP and the CPian clan. Of course for a blog to be followed, it has to be constantly updated with fresh material. Are you looking for more work or are you hiring someone to handle the blog for you?

I'd be interested in knowing more about:

                              • What's in the works
                              • A "from the trenches" view of what it takes to keep CP running
                              • Dev stats - how the CP team works (tools, processes, behaviors)
                              • Interesting usage stats (stuff that doesn't make it to the home page)
                              • What most challenges the CP team
                              • Suggestions, opinions and rants you'd care to share with someone who'd like to bring a CP like offering (not related to CP's content) to life

I found my mankini whilst tidying up my bedroom on Saturday. Getting both testicles in one at the same time is no mean feat I can assure you.

Care and maintenance of Hamsters. Progress in getting Sean to stop wearing that Mankini on visits. Answers to CCC's about a week in advance. Winning lottery numbers for next weekend. That sort of thing...
