5.00am, but I am temporally out of kilter, I slept have the afternoon away and am wide awake. I shall try too drift off again so as not to screw my internal clock for work tomorrow.

To lose one finger could be considered unfortunate...blah blah blah. Had you not considered sticking a twig in there instead? I have seen many a lost finger on old sweats (experienced soldiers), who ought to know better!

I am at work. Have an app to deliver on Tuesday, and of course feature creep has crept in and so am trying to finish up. :(

For the compiler on my 32 bit machine, WORD is an unsigned short. So it would be: pow(2, 11*2*8), i.e., pow(2, 176) = 2 raised to the power of 176
