What's 'the best product for a solution'?

The iPad. It's a solution looking for a problem. Runs and hides.

Not just the iPad. I'm yet to be convinced by tablet PCs - having recently bought 2 of them.

Is any one else here sick of all of the fanboys/girls out there in the programming world? I am just wondering because it seems like every article that I read now that has something a little bad to say about a company it becomes a religious war on the comments. If it is a Microsoft article all the Apple fan people come out agree with the article and bad mouth Microsoft. Than all of the Microsoft fan people come on defend Microsoft and bad mouth Apple. The reverse happens when it is an article about Apple. What ever happened to using the best solution for the problem?

Nope. I don't read comments. They're the television of the internet - there's a lot of different crap, but it's all crap.

I’m a well-known Microsoft fan boy and I also think the iPad is one of the best products the IT industry has ever produced, love my Kindle and have Android phone. I suppose this makes me what? Schizophrenic? :-D

Nope, you're a gopher. You gopher this, and you gopher that, and when something new comes along you gopher that too.

Not if you have kids. :) I prefer my kids to play games which is designed (at least part of them) to increase their creativity instead watching the idiot-box like a couch potatoes.

The term is technological agnosticism, unfortunately that becomes undermined by technical evangelists.

I don't mind fanboys so much as those who have an attitude: "I refuse to use company X's products on principle." OK, maybe if they've sacrificed babies or something but it's not usually that is it? I just use whatever I judge best suits my needs at any point in time.
