A gang of Somalian women who repeatedly kicked a young woman in the head walked free from court after a judge heard they were "not used to being drunk" because they were Muslim. [^] Sorry, I dont care what religion they have, beating people up is assult, period. (Actually the boyfriend was very restrained in his behaviour, he didnt attack the agressors, only tried to pull them off. Personaly, I would have lost patience and decked them). Anyway, what is the UK coming to when it can apply the law so selectively?

I have to agree with you: this is very wrong; justice turned upside down.

I hardly agree with anything you write but alas, I have to agree with you on this.

You folks have some messed up rulings over there. In the US that would never fly as it would lead to a catasrophe since our judges rule by precedence[^]. If this flew by, a lawyer could then get a drunk driver off (regardless of outcome such as multiple deaths), by merely claiming they were new to drinking which applys to anyone when they first drink. And unless the prosecutor can generate proof they have drank before and are "used to being drunk" it would apply to almost anyone anywhere anytime.

Computers have been intelligent for a long time now. It just so happens that the program writers are about as effective as a room full of monkeys trying to crank out a copy of Hamlet.

<sarcasm> The law was not blind, it clearly noted the color of their skin, their religion, their ethnicity and made it's judgement according to what was deemed fair at the moment. Living and breathing law is a wonderful thing, don't be such a hater. </sarcasm>

"Ifrah Nur screamed "Kill the white slag" while kicking her in the head as she lay motionless on the ground." If this had been the other way round, it would have been a charge of Attemted Murder on racist grounds. Sad Sad place 'My Britain' has become.

I don't think it is political correctness, I think it is retarded judging. Similar things have happened with white people 'unused to drink' too. I believe that anyone who kicks someone in the head whilst they are on the ground should be charged with nothing less than attempted murder.

Every man can tell how many goats or sheep he possesses, but not how many friends.

Of course we could always introduce Sharia law here, in which case for drinking alcohol, and appearing in public withouit a veil, they could be whipped and beaten.

Well what do you know, actually looking at the full details of the case and the judgment they were not spared jail because of the alcohol issue at all, that was raised by the defense council for one of them but was not alluded to at all in the judgement or when the judge gave his reasons for suspending the sentences. Of course the way it gets reported almost everywhere makes it seem as if the alcohol was the only reason why they were 'set free'.

WOW, I wont agree with you. You didn't like the judgement because they were Muslim. Around 10 years ago A drunk woman shot and killed a Bengali woman, the poor girl was standing on the window of her apartment. And that drunk girl were let go by American court. Why is that? Is it because if you are drunk then you can shoot an black Asian Muslim?
