Since this is the soapbox. Note I do not think illegal immigrants should be allowed to stay here. That being said... I like the people who say immigrants take jobs. This is sort of true. Would any one want to work for low pay (no minimum wage) and in harsh conditions (no OSHA)? The problem is if we get rid of people who are willing to work like that the cost of everything goes up and small businesses fold. Sort of a catch 22. I have no solution. Thus I am a lowly DBA and not a politician. Oh and on point 4 of your post. Gee we need more personnel patrolling so lets reduce it to 1/10 percent.

They are no longer needed. They can just grab whomever whenever they want and lock them up. If the want to deport you they deport you. If they want answers they question you If they want you to just dissapear *poof*

The post wasn't about illegal immigration. It's about preparing to inter Americans under the guise of a false-flag crisis, and illegal immigration is a story that most Americans will happily go along with because it's been a pronblem for so long. The "mass influx of immigrants" isn't actually going to happen - illegal immigration to this country is at a *30-year low*. The National Guard is being pulled back to serve in another mission entirely.

This all happened last week: 0) NDAA passed, allowing the military to arrest anyone for any reason and detain them indifinitely without charge or legal representation. 1) KBR and US Army advertising new job openings, looking to hire "Internment Specialists". 2) FEMA camps are being staffed and readied for use 3) Janet Napolitano telling ICE agency to "prepare for mass influx of immigrants". 4) Bulk of National Guard troops pulled off US border patrol duties, leaving only 1/10th of the previous manpower levels. 5) Iraq war officially ended, and civilian police agencies are receiving military equipment because the feds don't need it any more, and US troops returning home are going to be "transitioned" into the role of federal police force. I wonder if we'll even make it to the elections next year... EDIT ============================== Yeah 1-vote this all you want. Not liking the apparent truth doesn't change it.

No. The real stress begins when it turns out to be true.

And from the clouds a mighty voice spoke:
"Smile and be happy, for it could come worse!"

And I smiled and was happy
          And it came worse.

Living in the modern age, death for virtue is the wage. So it seems in darker hours. Evil wins, kindness cowers. Ruled by violence and vice We all stand upon thin ice. Are we brave or are we mice, here upon such thin, thin ice? Dare we linger, dare we skate? Dare we laugh or celebrate, knowing we may strain the ice? Preserve the ice at any price? You're starting to sound like some of my stupider friends around the time of Bush's second election. They also threatened to leave, which they unfortunately did not follow up on. Also, when exactly was it people started treating FEMA like it was a bond villian's organization? I'm playing Deus Ex and just blew through a FEMA compound that puts most evil bases to shame. It was fun, but still.

Oh, you sound like you're a lot more grounded in reality than I am. Check the facts. ALL of the things in my list of events over the last week actually happened. I'm not making any of it up. If you want to bury your head in the sand and proclaim "it could never happen here", go ahead. I'd rather be prepared for the eventuality and NOT see it happen, than to be swept up in it without any clue as to what's going on.

I believe as you we should prepare for TEOTWAWKI, I am just a little hesitant to look behind every headline for a justification and expend vast resources to prepare for it. Suffice to say it is just prudent risk management... to prepare... some, and enjoy life a lot.

You sound so much like my brother with all of this, John. He is a gun owning Republican, just like you. Seriously, I think we are getting in position for an invasion, to be honest. We are getting ready to spring on a bunch of sleeper cells in a preemptive attack on enemy forces. Iran, Russia, and North Korea...in particular. Now, these are my opinions and must not be construed as truth. Consult an attorney before buying my book. ;)

                            0. This is a serious problem - I can agree with you on that. 1. Doesn't sound like much. Would really need some detail. 2. FEMA camps - a bit too "Black Helicopter" for me. 3. Couldn't find anything from a reliable source. Nor do I understand what this is suppose to imply. 4. Found this one and the implication is a lie. There were only about 1200 National Guard on the border and they were only there temporarily. There are something like 21000 border patrol, so the removal of ALL of the guard is like a 5% reduction. 5. The para-militarization of the police forces has been occurring over the last 30 years, starting with the so called war on drugs. The draw down in Iraq is irrelevant. A new federal police force manned by vets seems to be more "Black Helicopter" stuff.

The para-militarization of the police forces has been occurring over the last 30 years, starting with the so called war on drugs. The draw down in Iraq is irrelevant. A new federal police force manned by vets seems to be more "Black Helicopter" stuff.

                              1. This opened the door for all of the following things (in my original list) to happen 1) KBR is a Blackwater subsidiary. Why would they need Intenrnment specialists if they werent expecting to inter a bunch of people? 2) FEMA camps are all over the country. They've been under construction for years, and they're all ready now. 3) Do a google search for Napolitano and "mass influx of immigrants". 4) We DO have a 30,000-man federal police force in place. Returning troops will be used to augment this force (if they aren't moved to another "trouble spot" somewhere - like Syria. The drawdown I was talking about was only with regard to National Guard troops, not border patrol agents. My sister is in the Border patrol, so I'm pretty familiar with what's happening (or NOT happening) to keep our borders secure. 5) They aren't "vets", they're active-duty, Reserve, and Guard troops. "Vets" implies they're no longer in the service. Now that the Iraq troops are coming home, they can replace the reserves and Guard troops with more active-duty troops. While I'm here, I'll add that it has come to light (a week or two ago) that the Fast & Furious operation run by the ATF was an exercise NOT to interdict guns being taken to mexico, but to support a reason to seriously cripple or altogether eliminate the 2nd Amendment. Once the population is disarmed, it will be eaiser to move forward with whatever plans they have. That was a cog in this wheel that broke off when ATF agent Terry was killed by one of the weapons the ATF allowed to cross unimpeded into Mexico. Fortunately for us, the ATF got caught, and that part of the plan kinda fell apart. When I was in the military, I was taught the importance of situational awareness. This is one of those times when situiational awareness is critical. I'm not saying anything bad is definitely going to happen, but the congruence of coincidences that I've mentioned demands a little more than just a sideways glance.

Consult an attorney before buying my book. ;)

I don't ally myself with any party. I support and defend the Constitution and its intended meaning (as opposed to interpretations by Constitutional "scholars", politicians, and lawyers) above all else. That is my ideology and platform. The 2nd Amendment is there so that we can keep the rest of our rights. That's its primary purpose.

You tell me. How many are they hiring? Like I said - Details. FEMA camps - like I said too "Black Helicopter" for me. 3. Did the search - found no reliable source, nor do I understand what this is suppose to imply. 4. Simply don't believe you. What is you source of information? What is this force called? I'm assuming it's something other than the FBI.

So, what's the big deal? A very small force that was only temporary is removed.

Exactly how was that suppose to work? What was the planned sequence of events that would have lead to seizing everyones guns? And the previous administration was doing the same thing - this isn't the first time the ATF has let guns go across the border.
