XKCD of the day in real life: ...I love today's XKCD[^]. Also the content of the title-tag: Legally-mandated information would be printed on the back or discreetly along the bottom. In small letters under the nutrition information it would say 'Like our products? Visit our website!' There would be no URL. :-) Two guys from Berlin are doing exactly that: the sell a beer called "Bier". The label says only "Bier - 0.33 l". Nothing else. Their website[^] (sorry, not available in English, but you will get it from the picture). In short: They want to make a stand against visual pollution, which we are permanently exposed to in our modern urban life. "Taste doesn't need a name."

"I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by." (DNA)

It has been done before. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Generic_Cola_Cans_1980s.jpg[^] Along with a multitude of other plain-white-wrapper products. I used to buy Cigarettes (white carton, black lettering. $2!)(No, not factorial.) I've actually still got this book[^] somewhere at home. And, of course, http://static.rateyourmusic.com/album_images/b2b64f9a7c405a4471e71d413c8f0dd9/18530.jpg[^]

So I rounded up my camel Just to ask him for a smoke He handed me a Lucky, I said "Hey, you missed the joke." My Mu[sic] My Films My Windows Programs, etc.

        Even then, it'd be a whopping $2. :-D

Repo Man[^] also made heavy use of the white cans with black lettering. I always got a kick out of seeing Emilio eating a can of "Food" and drinking "Beer".

When I was in college, generic beer first appeared in the PRC. The white can with red letters - BEER - was regular, while the one with blue letters was light. At something around $1.75 a six pack, who cared how it tasted? :-D

                Will Rogers never met me.

+5 for Repo Man! One of my favorites. "Couldn't enjoy it any more, ma."
