My wife is away for the weekend so I allowed my 15-year old boy to have a LAN party in the basement. 17 kids on 36 sq. m! (120 sq. ft.)They had one half a year ago also. They behave well, and they LOVE it. Wednesday night a mother calls me. " I thought we agreed last time we spoke that LANs should only last 24 hours?" (Could be right, what the heck do I remember). "They will be devastated monday morning at school!" So I had my son to promise that they should all get some sleep sunday morning. We'll see what they do. :mad:Mothers:mad: So who should I be friend with? Parents or my boy and his classmates?

If your son is behaving well, then let him have his way. It's better they hang out in your basement until dawn than out on the streets. Perhaps you should introduce him to programming as well, if you haven't already. :) -- Only in a world this shitty could you even try to say these were innocent people and keep a straight face.

Be the Dad, dude. If some of the kids aren't responsible enough to make sure they have enough sleep to get them through Monday (hey, I know at 15 I wasn't) then help them out a little by sending them on their way.

I haven't had this experience yet. :-) Personally I'd form a pact with the kids that they don't tell what they get up to while at your place. As long as they aren't breaking stuff who cares. If it wasn't LAN parties it would be some other form of party that they were attending. Regardz Colin J Davies

What are you calling a LAN Party? Computer games ? Haakon S. wrote: So who should I be friend with? Parents or my boy and his classmates? If the mother wants her kid to party 24 hours, I don't think you have any choice than respect her will. However it doesn't mean the party has to stop for the 16 others :)

But they enjoy it still. Besides, they don't do this very often and they will get some sleep before monday. So why not let them?

I don't know how are the kids where you live, but 15 yo seems to me a good age to learn to be careful :)

I personally don't care. However, anything related to sex is usually posted in the Soapbox and there are a number of reasons for it. Chris has already stated that the first forum managers see when they check this place out is the Lounge. If they see a bunch of risque materials in here, they aren't going to look too favorably upon CP.

Chris has already stated that the first forum managers see when they check this place out is the Lounge. If they see a bunch of risque materials in here, they aren't going to look too favorably upon CP.

I'm afraid there's a loophole in the rules for the lounge.. It's all about what you'd let your 12 year old sister read (and no programming of course). -- Only in a world this shitty could you even try to say these were innocent people and keep a straight face.
