I suspect that the MSDN and Stack Overflow servers so an increase in traffic. Google, of course, wouldn't see any increase.

I had a constructive morning writing abusive tweets about Victor Orban and Chris Maunder. The Victator received more head shots. [edit] The word's "did", me bad.
