Ketchup with fried spam is lovely I tend to go for cheaper ketchups, they are more vinegary

I am not getting religious about it, but if it is just an egg banjo I prefer Brown (HP or Daddies, depending on how the muse descends), but a bacon and egg banjo, then deffo tomato sauce (Heinz). (Tomato Sauce = Ketchup for the Spams).

DD, you may be an expert when it comes to Cryptic Crosswords and I would bow to your knowledge of various alcoholic beverages. I would even concede to you on Bacon and Egg banjos ... but ... BUT ... when it comes to Fried Egg Banjos you are incorrect, Tomato Sauce is the correct accompaniment. I don't argue about much but this is where I draw the line ... Fried Egg Banjo's must have Tomato Sauce. Final. Oh and I AM being religious about it! ;)

I know why it is called that, my point was that just about every time anyone mentions an egg sandwich you reply calling it a banjo. I suspect you enjoy explaining it. :)

Funnily enough, if it's bacon by itself, it's got to be the brown sauce, but I agree - put 'em together and it has to be the Ketchup.

Only the second week of the year and I'm having the day off. Started the day with a Bacon and Egg sarnie :) Now contemplating what to have for tea. This evening off down the pub for a beer or 5 Dunno if I can take all the stress :laugh:

I'm an American, and I knew what 'Tomato Sauce' meant. (Many of my friends used that term, just to annoy the hell out of the staff at my high school :-D ) Didn't know about the 'Spams' thing. Guess you learn something new everyday.
