I think I heard about this a while ago, but my Inbox is just beginning to be affected by it. I am recieving mail that has apparently been sent by myself to spam companies but not accepted. The Spammers rename the email FROM field to "MAIL DELIVERY SUBSYSTEM" which makes it even more entertaining. Since they then send you a subsequent couple of emails claiming that your email couldn't be delivered. Naturally the email contains the attachments you "were" sending "Make your Boobs bigger" "Wall Street Secrets". What these spammers are relying on is the social interaction of the Dupes, similar to how the "I Love You" virus worked. Anyone else been recieving this crud ? Regardz Colin J Davies

Thats not a new trick, thats someone trying to spam on your behalf. I have actually got emails to myself using my own account! Unfortunately, if your email is anywhere on a site indexed by search engines, you are a huge target for spam :(

Another recent development is spam that contains graphics that includes your e-mail address as a parameter in the image source string. That lets them automatically validate you e-mail when you click on the message in your inbox. They no longer have to rely on their supplied "remove" link to do it. Maybe we can avoid this by selecting "read all messages in plain text" (in Outlook Express). Steve

:)hi all, i was also recieving the same thing. It is a virus probably W32-KLEZ's some type. i guess H. What it does is it just picks any address from your address book and sends random emails with any of such subjects like Hi this is a new game. or japanes lasse etc. If these mails are returning from any ids you know then clean out your system by downloading a patch from www.symantec.com or just search for this virus. there is another possibility that there is no reciever i mean there is no one in the address from where mails are returning to. this is also some kind of virus of W32-KLEZ type. But in that case if your email is with a person whose system is afftected by this virus it will send you emails with same subject as mail delivery system sort of. It's solution i duuno. as i guess is when the person whose system is affected will know then only solution can be found. cheers.. Himanshu
