Screw anyone who complains about things they haven't seen. It was like when the Muslims went on the rampage over the Danish cartoons. They hadn't seen them, very few people had seen them, and even if they had seen them they took over a year to angry about them. It is a bit like the 300 complainants to the BBC over the nudity in Sherlock Holmes (of which there was none). These are professional agitators. I like Clarkson et al, they don't care and they just get on with their lives free from the PC bollocks that tries to say you have the right not to be offended. Rubbish, I have the freedom to disagree with everything and to be offended, and the RIGHT to respond to that offense. Carry on Top Gear, go for the Liberal Leftie Animal Rights Tree Hugging Poofs and Communist Coalition and Rainbow Alliance, I am sure they would write in!

There most certainly was, you just didn't get to see anything interesting. The back of a nude woman might be relatively boring but it's still nudity.

No, are you telling me a woman with a backless dress is nude? Is someones bare arms nude? She was not Nude, she wore earrings, lipstick and a smile.

I'm sure if you read my post you will see that I am not, those are your words, not mine. Irene Adler was naked; the fact that you didn't see all of her skin didn't make her less naked.

India complains about Christmas special[^] A few things stand out in the report for me. "I write this to convey our deep disappointment over the documentary" "We understand the free press – they are welcome to explain and to challenge as long as it is fair and above the belt. Can this pass as acceptable journalism?" Surely no-one on the planet still thinks that Top Gear is anything other than an entertainment program? Now if they'd complained that it was a bit crap, then they may have had a point.

It's just a minority of Indians who are upset by this. Most of them haven't heard of the show previously but got all worked up when they heard that a UK TV show mocked India.

I thought the implied nudity in the Sherlock Holmes episode was a problem because the show was pre-9PM?

Wasn't this show all about cars? When did they shift to politics and journalism?

The show’s host uses a lot of humor, some of which is usually of the offensive kind (only to people who are sensitive about that sort of thing).

Everything implies nudity. I'm completely naked under my clothes right now.

Well the human male has for centuries made it a habit to mentally undress strange women it encounters, so yeah everything really does imply nudity.

Opening episode of series 2 has Irene Adler enter a room naked. But by clever camera angles/posture you do not see anything that you wouldn't see by a pool or on a beach, there wasn't so much as a stray nipple. 300 Complaints! Puritans! I for one was hoping for a glimpse, she was a beautiful woman.

Quick! Cover your table and bed legs! Lest they lead young men astray. I'm sure someone out there has a fetish for them.
