My wife delivered a beautiful daughter last Tuesday. This is our first child. Although you have a tough time waiting restlessly outside the labor ward, it's worth it and feels wonderful to be a dad. :-)
Congratulations! I had grandchild number 19 on Monday. Believe me, having grand children is easier.

Thanks Nish. Safiyyah means "pure" in Arabic. I'm still searching for a second name that goes with it. :-)

In our family, we have the family name coming first and then a two part name. For example, my family name is 'Zakir' and my two part name is 'Shameel Ahmed'. She'll get the 'Zakir' title too, but she needs the second part of the two-part name. :-)
