I spent a month travelling by train around Europe. I met loads of Canadians, of which most had the Canadian flag sewn on somewhere. Supposedly it's so that no one thinks they're American, as most people have trouble telling the accents appart. Also in the eastern block countries there is still a bit of hostility to Americans, but friendliness to Canadians!
