I know there are tons of MSN Messenger experts here. I just started using it recently. I had my Passport account setup to an "old" email address, which I still check and use. When somebody wants to add me, they have to use address. I have a new address that I am using more and more. I would like to use both of the email address under the same MSN account so when somebody adds either address it will pick me up. Is this possible? any ideas?

I dont think so - i think only one email account can be associated with a passport.

Nope... Can't do it... You also can't be logged into one account from multiple locations. This is why I am forced to have a *atwork and an *athome account.

Change the MSN Messenger sign in name for your old passport account to "my new id: me@mail.com" and then log out, then just use your new one. You can export all your old contacts and import them under your new account, then hopefully when your contacts see the "so and so is trying to add you to their contacts" message they will either recognise your new email or else have noticed your old id's name.

Well, I only have two contacts on my list so it won't be life-threatening. :) I just wanted to try and go the other route.

This is not correct. I use the same account on three different computers and all work just fine. It even logs me off of one if I log in somewhere else like at home when I switch computers. I should mention that I use a hotmail account for this but it really does work for me. BTW - I like your quotes, I have added them to my fortunes list. ;) The Ten Commandments For C Programmers

It won't let me log on on more than one machine either (well it does, but it will automatically log me off of the other machine at the same time). I don't have a hotmail account either though, so that may be why? :~ Rick York wrote: BTW - I like your quotes, I have added them to my fortunes list I love the one about the sweaty things - it's been on my "remember" list for months now.

Hmmmm I'll have to try it again then. I have to tested it lately. It used to just get a message that say I am already logged into to another location.

Yep. Run one account under MSN Messenger, and the other under Trillian[^]. I did that for ages until I transitioned, and it worked a treat. :) Anna :rose: www.annasplace.me.uk

I sort of misunderstood your statement. What happens for me is if I am logged in on one computer and then log in on another one it logs me out of the first one. This only happens to me at home where I have two machines in the same room and I switch between them. Typically I log out when I leave a machine though just so people know I am offline.
