:laugh: Really! ...our building is in a weird spot where we can't get a lot of services from regular providers... so we had to have those T1 lines installed.

I just signed a contract to bring in Fiber Optic to our main office. cant wait to get that speed boost.
Let's face it, after Monday and Tuesday, even the calendar says WTF! Be careful which toes you step on today, they might be connected to the foot that kicks your butt tomorrow. You can't scare me, I have children.
Pure happiness that. I then have to share my sorrow. My download speed is 25kb per second. When it snows I get 14kb or so. This is in a country where the teleco's brag about excellent coverage. What I should get is 384kb/s, but HSDPA is largely overrated when you're more than "two meters" away from the base station. So, a sad story, this one. :)

We have 2 10mb backbone lines here spread over maybe 100 people - download at maybe 2kbps. What's highly suspect is that when I use my VPN (which bypasses the proxy) I get up to 200kbps: I think our admin is trolling us.

Where I work its bad, the Cotswolds is a beautiful part of the country BUT internet is poor! our speed varies on the time of the day. to get a leased line 10Mb it costs £20,000 a year because the nearest telecoms switch is 90 miles away. We had to get around it by using bonded broadband but we still have to suffer the time of day issues

As everyone's showing off... At work I have consistent 80 MB/s symmetrical. Yes, that's MegaBytes. Yes it requires a Gigabit LAN. One of the company's businesses is being a video CDN...

We got FiOS at work the day it became available in our neighborhood. Until then, the only thing we could get with any decent speed was Business DSL. Our T1 lines were (and still are) basically voice only with space left for about 56kb for a backup remote access connection. We have 25mb up and down and will upgrade to more if/when we switch to VOIP.

The funny thing is that my internet access at home is about 10x faster than at work... and at work we pay an arm and a leg for the service since they had to install the line.

I work from home and use Comcast cable internet services. Just ran a speed test and I'm getting 18Mbps down and 4.5Mbps up ... pretty snappy

Yeah, it's sad to be so glad to have two T1's at work... :laugh: At home I have Comcast, 30-35Mbps down and 6 up.
