Mostly The Smiths, they've been getting me through since I was using Turbo Pascal in the 80s -- good times.

Classical music is the best type of music to listen to while programing. Please don't contradict me if you have not tried.

Folk and Metal, currently it's Blood of the Nations by Accept, an unexpectedly good album.

Depends entirely on the mood. Some times I listen to non-vocal electronic, vocals tend to distract me. Other times it is punk, or sometimes the sound of silence.

Whatever happens to be on my iPod at the moment. Just throw on the noise cancelling headphones and crank up the volume. It's the blackout noise that works for me.

                              I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

Anything from "The Fountain" soundtrack, such as Death is the Road to Awe. Pandora is nice enough to find similar songs for me.
