Remanufactured ink cartridge
-
HiHi I personally like the idea of recycle cartridge very much, it's cheaper and most importantly, it's green at the same time. And the companies often collect our old cartridge as well, so it doesnt waste itself in the rubbish bin. So i'm intending to try one the next time i change my ink cartridge.Has anyone tried them before?Any verdict on its quality?

I've used several brands of remanufactured inkjet cartridges and never had a problem with any of them. I would, however, reccomend steering well clear of the DIY refill kits. They are messy and unreliable. With a good recycled cartridge it is properly disassembled, cleaned, refilled and then rebuilt so shouldn't cause you any problems :) Derek Lakin. If you have a HP or another printer where the cartridge also holds the printhead there is almost no risk, only some pages might look terrible With the Epson piezo heads the risk is a little bigger as the ink has the opportunity to ruin the printhead which can be quite expensive Rutger

Just buy large tanks of compatible ink and one of those syringe filling kits. I've been refilling my ink jet cartridges for about a year now with no problems at all. (just remember you will need to replace the cartridge every five or so fills with some printers as it will wear out) It's saved me £££'s. In the UK I recommend www.inkyfingers.com.

I have heard rumours before that using remans or refill kits could void the warrenty. Has anyone ever verified this or had problems along this line?

I never heard of a case before, but the manufacturers can do it, specially if the problem is in the printing heads. But here a cheap printer costs about the same of 4 or 5 ink cartridges. So, it's not a big deal. I see dumb people
