Do Dave's comments about the French fall under trolling as well?

Of course they do. However, others seemed to have been effective in putting him in his place.

Not really pissed off at losing the contract, because it will be late delivered and over priced and the aircraft will be unreliable and falling out of the sky. And as for the £1Billion in aid every year, even your finance minister doesn't want it (see here[^]) But the restiction of visas for foreign students is all down to politicking.

I presume that is because they can't put them in reverse?

Its is called reverse racisim. It was never allowed to joke/banter Indians. As soon as that happened, it was shouted as rascisim. But at the same time, it was not frowned upon to riducule Germans, yankees or even English by "Underdogs"

I find it plain stupid to state things like that. What is the point ?

He's a euroskeptic, frech are(at least at the higher level) proeuro so everything made by french is jubberrish to him. Including the first car, the first airplane(although a little romanian help was there), the first diesel engine, the first turbocharged engine(f1 way back) they are all french jiberrish unreliable things. Plus some weeks ago he happily predicted the end of euro during that weekend. He just can't be objective. In a sentence "French is bad, EU is bad, UK rules." :~ PS @DD I didn't downvote either.

Not really. Whatever happens he still is living in a country with no long term water supply, mass poverty and illiteracy and about to go to war with it's neighbours.

Well for about 3-4 centuries, you took all the aid you could get from India. It'll take you another 300 years to pay it all back. :-D How about we start with the Kohinoor?

nope no french win there, even if you mess arounf with the meaning then the Fench still dont come first. first diesel - first compression ignition I will give you turbo - nope the turbocharging of engines dates back to the 1880's and as the French fighters are being sold for considerablly less than they cost to make, my guess is that either this order was a loss leader or the French govenment is stupping up cash (or both as it was reported that the production line was eing shut down due to lack of orders)

I just give some examples of the top of my head apparently wrong. I really don't care. I have nothing against UK nor France (obviously). The point was that in my view he's a euroskeptic and french are associated as proeuro. Hence the trolling against french plains. I know that the deal is not yet signed. Raffale seems to be the winner but is not 100% just yet. Still, thats no reason to trash those plains. He was like a little fun boy trashing apple or google or ms or ... without any real knoledge. Not that I have any(regarding fighters). :)

actually I think Dave is anti French more due to the fact that he is British rather than his Euro views. you have to remember that the French and British have been at War, recovering from War or preaparing to go to war with each other for centuries, this short term alliance we have at present is paper thin as some of the comments from France recently have shown. oh and do remember that France didnt want Britain in the EU and blocked its entry for many years.

Dave the Tornado's didnt appear on the Falklands till after the conflict when they replace The F4 Phantoms stationed there as for the rest WW1 the Neuports and Spads were Excelent fighters WW2 no french aircraft is worth mentioning - ever French Indo China - mainly ex British/US the rest are just bombing/machine gunning natives from the air, something they probably learned from us.
