Indeed it may, but the preferences change due to underlying mental, psychiatric or chemical changes within the individual, not merely as a free choice. Their behaviour may be enforced to conform to a societal norm, but this does not descry the internal condition of the individual. How many of us have wanted to do things that others would find unacceptable or perverted by the normal rules of the society in which we live, but we do not act upon them. May I interest sir in the new "sump dump"[pat pending]? At the flick of a switch it'll dump a sump load of oil on the road for the delectation of anyone following too close. :-D

This[^] is deemed acceptable. A catholic priest committing adultary and being held to blackmail by a small boy. but This[^] is deemed offensive, a Jewish father taking pride in his child's business skills? I get 160 down points for that? Crock of shit. It is not the points, it is the hysterical hypocrites that complain. Is there faith so weak they cannot allow a sense of humour? Gutless wankers.

Whilst I was surprised at what you said I didn't down vote you - I would have said so had I done so. If the joke had been a jewish joke to begin with fine, but you went ahead and tried to turn it into a rather sour stereotype as if to say the first joke got it wrong and I'm pretty sure you knew what you were doing (you proclaim great intelligence so it couldn't have been a mistake - you meant what you said). I don't think you're an anti-semite (though it's not the first time you've done this then proclaimed that some of your best friends are jewish, so to speak) but that was a tad dumb and then to moan about it when you have 19*5 votes. I may not have appreciated it but it looks like plenty of others did - I only got one 5 for my post so to be whinging now is a little ott, don't you think? The other point here is that a catholic priest commiting adultary is why the joke is funny. Finally, the father takes his son to church for the punchline. Don't get many jews in the confessional. Ever.

Mar, it wasn't the downvotes, I have had enough of them not to care, it was the hypocrisy that I was reported as being abusive. My point is that it seems ok to mock the catholics but not the jews. Strange indeed. Here, Let me explain by using this drawing of mohammed 0-<-<

Dale No, please feel free to mock the Jews with appropriate jokes (yes, I know what will happen next, oy vey): perfectly happy to laugh at me and mine; just thought you were wrong to subvert a perfectly crap joke to mock a stereotype. I am also very upset by your graphic of muhamhead but only because I don't get it so it must be highly offensive. Oh wait, yes that is quite amusing but you now have 1 billion muslims who want to kill you. :-)

The problem is not about mocking Dave, the problem is refusing to know the person or learn the subject you adamantly want to mock at. Perhaps, this[^] might help you.

All religion is complete crap, run by thieves and con men who prey on the dim and vulnerable. Any religion that cannot stand up to questioning or mockery is no more than a cult. (And I see a religionist has downvoted my pointing out the hypocrisy, ooh aren't you brave. Can't give a good answer as to why you think it important to respect whatever club another person chooses to join).

Ah, Dave. :sigh: There are A LOT of self righteous members here. I have done a splendid job so far, pissing each one of them off. They have less than ZERO sense of humor, wit, or intelligence. It is a no win battle, for both sides. You should not be surprised that you received so many downvotes. With that said, I usually agree with your religious and political views. I'm probably one of the few here that would have the balls to openly say that. I gave you a five...just because. ;)

I actually feel sorry for you if you've come to consider using a stereotype as unacceptable joke material. Really should get off the high horse, Jewish faith is as good a target as any for jokes. Can't handle it, don't read. PC is going a bit too far when you start hinting of "jewish hater" behaviour for a joke. Though to be blunt it's mostly jokes involving Judaism that get this treatment. It's been 70 years, a different world, you're taking the victim role too far, the country is as safe as any on this planet and nobody but the most desperate will even try to look badly at Israel, the chosen people will survive to keep trying to perform their role as god's chosen. And bloody words don't actually kill people, being a sheep without a brain does. Continuing this myth of if you say anything even hinting of bad about jews you're and evil jew hater is so common that everyone with even the slightest link to the Judaic faith starts thinking it's their right to never be made fun of. Bit too touchy if you ask me. And a stupid habit, people that can't take a joke aren't exactly the smartest of the lot tbh, just big bloated ego.
