Okay, I'll take the hook: since their etymologies have to do, in one case (logarithms) with a neologism created by combining two Greek roots, by Napier circa 1600 CE, and the other (algorithms) refers to a latinized mis-translation of the name of the great Arab scientist Al-Khwarizmi, circa 8-9th. century CE, who introduced Algebra to the ignorant west ... What are they are anagrams for ? best, Bill

As a matter of non-fact, both Olga Rithm, and her twin sister, Gola Rithm, were Russian gymnasts who were disqualified from the 1976 Montreal Olympics after chromosome tests revealed they were biologically male, and were pumped full of steroids. Rumor has it they later became professional cage-fighters in private shows staged for Russian billionaire oligarchs. This set the stage for Nadia Comenci's first-ever perfect ten in the World Olympic Gynmastics' compulsory performance, and her amazing triumph of seven 10.0's. The scoreboard at the event was unable to display 10.0, and so showed 1.0.
