I can see that some people have gone on a univoting spree here. I've compensated most of it, including the OP. It's just sugarcoated drivel, you are all free to ignore it. It's not offensive or or bad advice that motivates univoting in my opinion.

Quite, there are too many miserable fuckkers here trying to impose their views on other peoples expression. :)

No, I still don't know what fuckkers means. And there really ought to be an apostrophe in 'Peoples'.

Right, I also reserve my right to change my mind if the OP is stubborn. I just generally find that highreps on the forums seems to be allowed a lot more than the newcomers. And for the newcomers a simple nudge in the right direction should suffice most of the time.

Everyone it seems, except they don't nudge. They vote for removal.

I univoted, but forgot to change the subject line to "My Vote of 1" - I have rectified this.

You are right - it is sugar coated drivel - and I am free to ignore it. Additionally I am also free downvote posts I don't think are up to scratch, surely the basis of a self-policing group, given that we have a voting system. It is not as if I reported the member or the messages because they were not, as you say, offensive (though that matters less here) or bad advice, therefore I vote on quality. If people think the quality is sufficient, they will vote the messages up, and the group will find a level. The one message that was removed was a repost AFAICT, I didn't see it. The GIT was created so the other boards aren't clogged with precisely the sort of crap that was posted here. If we never down-vote, such posts will be encouraged in forums where they are not appreciated, such as the Soapbox.

My reason for 5: It summed up, in precise and terse terms, how I feel but which, had I gone on on to further elucidate, would have ended up as several long winded, and possibly overly verbose, paragraphs.

I agree with you in substance, but take a look at some of the responses through the eyes of someone that doesn't get sarchasm, and I'm strongly doubting that those that likes "sugarcoated drivel" gets sarchasm. I think you might agree with me that some of them come through as rude. You may also notice that most of the univotes I compensated wasn't the OPs, I just included him as I found some of the responses over the top.
