Best movie depiction of a software developer (or "hacker" as Hollywood calls them)

Get it, it is one of the best time-travel movies I've ever seen, even though it was a low-budget job. It's main drawback was explaining the plot to the wife. Repeatedly.
Sort of a cross between Lawrence of Arabia and Dilbert.[^]

A Dead ringer for Kate Winslett[^] -

I was thinking about Newman in Jurassic Park and his awesome "ah, ah, ah!" when they entered the wrong password, and then the "I'm a Mac" dude in that movie where he used a Nokia to do everything up to, and possibly including, piloting a space shuttle or something (OK, I may have fallen asleep in that one). What would you say are the best movie depictions of a software developer?

Boris Grishenko[^] from Goldeneye, despite his rather poor password policy.

Transformers. Stereotypical basement dwelling geek manages to rig up a system with ancient hardware that converted keystrokes into morse code, sent them through an old radio system then received incoming morse code and converted it for display on an old green-screen monitor .. all by plugin in a few cables (which magically fit, no need for solder and spare bits of wire) and 'drumming' his pudgey fingers on a keyboard for 5 seconds

Plain English OSMO movie.
Starting to think people post kid pics in their profiles because that was the last time they were cute - Jeremy.

Not a "Holywood" movie, but my favorite has always been the smiley face hacker from Ghost in the Shell[^]. Not sure which specific series he took a bigger role, but there are numerous hacking roles in the series. The premise is that everyone is really a ghost in their shell of a body. In fact they have technology to load your ghost into shells. In one of the series the Smily face hacker quite often hacks the shell taking control of the person (someone like a CEO or president) and does wacky stuff. Not only that, if the Smilely face hacker does not want anyone to see who someone is, he hacks into the media networks and puts a roatating face over the person with some text that says "What I thought I would do is pretend I was one of the deaf mutes"
Computers have been intelligent for a long time now. It just so happens that the program writers are about as effective as a room full of monkeys trying to crank out a copy of Hamlet.
