Two good ol' boys, Bubba and Junior get promoted from Privates to Sergeants. Not long after, they're out for a walk and Bubba says, "Hey, Junior - there's the NCO Club. Let's you and me stop in and have us a drank." "But we's privates," protests Junior. "NO, we's sergeants now," says Bubba, pulling him inside "Now, Junior, I'm gonna sit down and have me a drank." "But, we's privates," says Junior. "You blind, boy!" says Bubba, pointing at his stripes. "We's Sergeants now!" So they order their drinks and pretty soon a hooker comes up to Bubba. "You're cute," she says, "and I'd like to take you someplace and make you feel good -- but I've got a bad case of gonorrhea." Bubba pulls his friend to the side and whispers, "Junior, go look in the dictionary and see what that gonorrhea means. If it's good, give me the okay sign." Junior goes to look it up, comes back, and gives Bubba the big okay sign. Three weeks later Bubba is laid up in the infirmary with a terrible case of gonorrhea. "Junior," he says, "What you give me the okay for?!" "Well Bubba, in the dictionary, it says gonorrhea only affects the privates." Then he pointed to his stripes and says, "But we's Sergeants now!

I know that "good ol boys" has different meanings, especially dependant on what part of the US you are from, but I don't think that any of them fit your joke properly. Again, it depends greatly on where you are from.

      If it moves, compile it

Being from the US myself, it's quite apparent from the "slang" and "accent" of the joke it's a couple of unedjumacated white-trash ne'er-do-wells.

What makes you say that? BRB [checking the list of Nobel Laureates for Junior's or Bubba's]

From the area(s) I am from, and any other areas I know of, it does not imply uneducated. Where I am from, when someone says "Good Ol' Boys" it refers the KKK in small southern towns. I never knew Good Ol' Boys to imply undecuated... and I don't know what the phrase "Ne'er-do-wells" means. I understood it to mean native to a small southern [country] town. Usually also implying racism, or willingness to make racist remarks. Someone who knows all the people in the area [because the communities were small(er)], and is known and respected in the community. (sort of a "well to do" in a small(er) southern town/community... implying education or popularity, instead of the opposite).

Ne'er-do-wells = Never does good = Good Ol' Boy = Big Bad Dumbshit Bully KKK certainly fits the bill. The joke certainly implies a couple of uneducated crapheads.

don't know where you are from, but I grew up and spent a large portion of my life in the Mississippi Delta. in towns with populations of about 6,000. About as southern redneck as you get back then. Good ole boys never refered to the KKK in any place I was, but instead refered to being part of the "good ole boys" club. usually rednecks, possibly racist, more than likely drove a big jacked up 4X4 with super swampers on it. These days when I hear it, it generally refers to anybody that has a higher level position in politics or some such that got there due to who they know rather than what they know.

Common sense is not a gift it's a curse. Those of us who have it have to deal with those that don't.... Be careful which toes you step on today, they might be connected to the foot that kicks your butt tomorrow. You can't scare me, I have children.

I wouldn't imagine that it did when you are in the south :D Again, I have noticed that it widely varies depending on where you are from. I have never heard it referring to people who are criminals, or under educated though.

Well I'm not from the US but I have visited once (before having to comb your pubic hair for the camera) and from my years of television watching I call bullshit. Good Ole Boys drive Orange Chargers, wear overly tight jeans, have a Moonshine making Uncle and a ridiculously good looking cousing in extra short jean shorts. They're never meaning no harm, beats all you ever saw, been in trouble with the law since the day they were born.

The moment they heard this all the smiling face turned into a sad looking face and one of them farted. So I had to leave the place as soon as possible." - Mr.Prakash One Fine Saturday. 24/04/2004
