I have always considered The Lounge to be a safe heaven for Kid Sisters. A place a Kid Sister can visit and feel safe, sheltered from the harsh outside world. But today my fellow CPians I am forced to ask for more! Today I come to you seeking aid for a Kid Sister! Today YOU can make a difference and make a dream come true! Background info: A two stage competition was launched for an Internship in the European Parliament, and the Kid Sister of whom I speek already made it past the qualifier (an essay writing competition). The second round is somewhat political - a vote (seems fitting - its the Parliament). To make it worse - it's a facebook vote... So I ask any and all of you who may have an account or know somebody who has an account on facebook to spare a couple of minutes of your time and cast a vote. You truly can make a girl's dream come true. The address is: https://fbapps.platforma.org/fb_eurostaz/[^] The Kid Sister is: Joanna Siodmok The page is in Polish, but its not to hard to navigate. The page displays a map with a list of names on the right side. The Kid Sister is on the 12th page I think (id ~119). Once you get there simply press the "Vote" or "Głosuj" button and that's it. The page which pops up can be safely ignored, as it is only there to annoy you. ALL IT TAKES IS A BUTTON PRESS :) Thanks in advance to all of you who find five minutes and cast a vote! [EDIT] Seriously? Reported as ABUSE? :wtf: [/EDIT]

The EU knows nothing about votes. It is the mostundemocratic power in the world, ruling by diktat and quite unaccountable. You KS would be joining that monstrosity and giving slave labour for the priviledge!

Perhaps. But - if that is something she wants - who am I to thread on her dream? And as an older brother I shall do all I can to get her where she wants to be :) Also - I imagine she would like to do it not only for political reasons but for the sake of traveling, seeing new places, meeting new people etc.

Thanks! I found five minutes and cast a vote! I voted you a 1. I know nothing of the contest, I know nothing of the contestants. To vote blindly in the way you request would be blatant vote-rigging.

Agreed - the entire idea is ridiculous! But - again - I am not the one who came up with the whole thing. Basically the first part was an essay writing contest and the second part is a 'who has the most friends on facebook' contest :) But it is well within your right to consider my post a scam and a despicable attempt to destroy democracy :)
