 I never really watched the simpsons, I find it boring! except for the 3D one a few years back, I watched it because someone told me about it. But out of curiosity, is it becoming redundant ? after so many years, there must'nt be a lot of new material that are worthy of showing us ? I believe that a series like this ( and others ) need to have a short life span, and the author should have the guts to quit at some point just to look back and see if he can do something as good but different. Max.

I LOVE me some simpsons..BUT, they need to hang it up. I dont watch the new ones anymore because they are so damn weird. I think they are ruining Homer and ruining the legacy. Retire dammit! -dork

for years, i've been saying the same thing. but, almost all of the new episodes magically improve after a few years in syndication. sure, there are a few bad clams here and there, and maybe more recently than previously. but, you really need to let them age properly. -c

The Simpsons is essentially satire. It takes social and family issues and situations and takes the mickey out of them. There will always be something that can satirised, The Simpsons can go on for a long time yet, as long as the writers feel they can continue being creative. Cheers Cheers The universe is driven by the complex interaction between three ingredients: matter, energy, and enlightened self-interest.
