I always told my car pool rider that if I won the jackpot, I'd send a long stretch Limo to take her both ways; I wouldn't be at work that day.

I'm not a trained chauffeur but I'd like to volunteer to take her both ways.

So if you are the winner of MegaMillions what will you do with the money? Will you leave your job? Call in sick till you get fired? :)

Bloke I sit next to at work reckons if he won enough to quit he'd go on sick leave with the stress of winning the money. Over here, having been here for 20 years as he has, he'd get 6 months on full pay then 6 months on half pay. He's tight enough that I believe he probably would.

At my current job I'd probably give notice and then slink away after a hand off of assignments. Previous 2 jobs I'd have left a steamer on my managers desk and walked out.

It depends. If one of the fifty tickets we bought as a group at the office wins, we'll all have a choice of quitting - thereby leaving an entire valley full of customers with no one to run the water, sewer and electric utilities - or staying long enough to train replacements. Of course, we'll want humongous pay raises as an inducement to stay. On the other hand, if the sole ticket I bought for myself wins, I'm outta here... :-D

I wouldn't even call in sick. I'd just never show up at the office again.... what are they going to do..... Fire Me!!! I may well hand out checks to all the indentured servants at the office so that they have the luxury of either finding jobs they may actually enjoy doing, or they can simply "chill" and contemplate life for a while.
