Good link. But is there really any advantage to cloud storage that makes it better than carrying a flash drive? I mean, at least my confidential files are not on someone else's servers, ready for download to any hacker.
The difficult we do right away... ...the impossible takes slightly longer.

True, they're on a $15 device in your pocket ready to be lost, stolen or run through the washer. How about using both methods for data integrity?

I could get used to that. As long as I'm confident that the sync software encrypts my stuff before sending it to the cloud.

Yes. Flash drive gets lost or forgotten. Or, you're a contractor and you have your own tech stuff you want to access and client site does not allow unauthorised external media. Cloud storage is convenient. Just access what you want from anywhere.

How often are the likes of Google and Microsoft really compromised in terms of user data being lost? But in any case I generally don't store confidential data in such places - mostly all technical or general purpose notes that I wouldn't be embarrassed by if anyone discovered them. In any case, more generally, you can always apply encryption if you're paranoid.

Ouch! Thanks for the heads up. Sure I'm currently only using 0.3 GB, but it's nice to have the option.
Yes, I'm not using very much either but always worth grabbing what you can if it's going. Never know when you might need it. :)
