Microsoft launched www.wmplugins.com[^] today. This site is just a central repository for all the WMP plugins. It's pretty cool.

I used to love realplayer but it is becoming more like crapware. Windows Media player, 8 and up, has a cool interface that is designed better than realplayer's. Although I don't know if I have the latest Realplayer, I am scared to install it:laugh: Later, JoeSox www.joeswammi.com "Male Employee #2I have a question Nick, I'm trying to do this quarterly, I just, I can't get the stupid e-mail package to open at all. Nick Burns: It's the e-mail that's stupid, not you right?"

Just opened the page and see: "The ultimate resource for enhancing your Windows Media Player 9 Series for Windows XP. Find the coolest effects, skins, visualizations and more." So, are these worthless/unsupported on Win2k? Or is this just another subtle hint from MS that they'd *really* like people to upgrade?

Yes, it is. ;) Corona plugins are a lot like shell extensions, you just write an in-proc server that implements an interface or two. --Mike-- I'm bored... With MP9 installed, my XP machine blue-screens the millisecond I move a TV tuner window. Uninstall it, the problem goes away. Latest set of GF4Ti drivers. I'm staying away from MP9. I don't see the advantage of MP7's (and up) overhead. All my files are still associated with mplayer2.exe (the older, bare-bones 6.4 version). Loads in a snap.
