After reading Nagy's recent post[^] I just had to drag out my Faulty Towers collection. Once again it reminds me of how incredibly brilliant and hilarious John Cleese was/is. I'm watching my favorite episode "The Germans" and although I've watched it dozens of times, it still is the most clever and funniest thing I've ever seen on television. What makes it even better is I have the book[^] so I can follow along when the British accents get a bit thick. Thanks for the reminder Nagy, this is going to be a very cheerful day.

I always thought George Carlin was the funniest person on TV but I guess Cleese will do. :)

I have to agree with you, but only because of the different genre as a standup comedian. His "Hippy Dippy Weatherman" was brilliant. And his Carnagie Hall performance was superb.

Every line in that episode is a classic. :) And the fire drill scene was just insane.

Would have to agree: I cry with laughter whenever I watch any of the episodes: sheer genius.
