I have managed to extract the songs as .wav files from the heavily scratched CD I had using Exact Audio Copy (thanks to Fredric Skog for pointing it out) and Isobuster. 19 of the 20 songs are fine with one having about 3 seconds of heart attack sound in the middle. Which isn't bad considering I can't play 5 or 6 from the original CD. I then attempted to burn them to CD using Nero Burning ROM. I selected Audio CD, dragged the .wav files across, chose Burn CD, Finalize CD and Disk-At-Once. It claimed to have burnt sucessfully but when I attempt to play it, it recognises that there are songs but no sound comes out. Anyone have any idea what I could have done wrong? Do you have 2 cd-rom drives? I have a DVD-Drive and a Burner. The CD-Audio cable is only hooked up to my DVD-Drive. So, once I burn a music CD, I have to put it in the DVD-drive to make sure it works. It through me for a second the first time that happened, then I realized what it was. Not the case here I'm afraid. I tried it in my stereo system first and that didn't work. Then I tried the DVD-ROM drive. The .wav files play fine through WinAmp, but not when burnt to CD as .cda files.
