Hey, everyone! I have been to some websites and they have added links to their site/app under "Tools" in Internet Explorer. How do I remove or add stuff under that menu ? Thanks!

Actually no, I don't watch porn. It's from a different website about tweaking MSN Messenger. Plus, I have other garbage in that menu as well such as "Yahoo! Messenger" which I don't even use.

Yes, you read it right. Tool Menu. I also have links to Sun Java, Yahoo Messenger, etc, etc. in there. But what I don't know is how to remove those pesky links. Also, I want to know how to add my own.

If you don't mind can you list all the entries in Tool menu (other than default entries) Compare that list with HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions\\Exec If the executables (.exe) are stored in your local directory, then obviously you installed them with or without your knowledge. How do I remove or add stuff under that menu ? Have you tried Spybot - Search & Destroy[^]? It seems to flag stuff like all cookies and Internet Explorers URL tracking feature as a problem but luckily doesn't select them by default. I used this on the weekend to remove Qcbar (adult site links) and All Telecom Dialer and a shitload of other spyware from a clients (old man) computer. Works pretty damn well. I would probably use it in conjunction with Ad-aware[^].
