Best RTS game after COH
-
I have been playing Company of Heroes and its extensions for almost 2 years and cant get enough of it. IMHO its the best RTS game of all times. I know they are coming up with a sequel[^] soon. However I want to get my hands dirty with the some other RTS game (not turn based ..please) for comparison sake. Any suggestions ?

I'm about to give Civilization 5 a try, but I really miss my old school RTS like Warcraft 2 & to a lesser extent, Starcraft, I liked some C&C. Anything compare to those?

Civilization 5 is good, it feels like they took the good parts of 3 and 4 and put them together (I never really liked 4, but 5 is great). As for other RTS games, I've always been a fan of the Age of Empires series.

Civ 4 is frustrating as hell, the religion and civ parts bother me. Plus it's slow as hell and turn based.

I can give an advice on how to get your hands dirty, but not by using a PC game, it's just lame.

They are adding religion in the expansion to Civ 5 but it appears to be more of a build your own religion thing and nothing like the religions in Civ 4. Also they are adding another handful or so of civs and global objectives that should add some fun to the game. My wife and I have 500+ hours in the game. Hopefully the expansion adds another 500 more.
