GUID

A GUID is a number used for uniquelly identify some piece of data. Unlike people here said, you can't create one, because there would be no guarantee that this GUID would be unique. Only MS can create GUIDs and they aren’t cheap, they cost about US$2 each. I’ve bought about 10,000 GUIDs from MS last year and paid about US$20,000 for them, but I won’t use them anymore, so I can sell you them for about US$5,000. Mail me if you are interested. I see dumb people

Look at my post. I've frenetically searched for this link, but I couldn’t find it anymore. It’s a pity. :(( I see dumb people

I'd definitely like to buy some! I was looking for some this weekend (my harddrive quit on me and I lost all my GUID's that I had been saving - there was a good 2-for-1 sale at Macies) on EBay but I couldn't find any. Are these the new DRM validated GUID's ? I really need some of those. ¡El diablo está en mis pantalones! ¡Mire, mire! Real Mentats use only 100% pure, unfooled around with Sapho Juice(tm)!

It's a type of creature. They are short and have pointed ears. They get along well with dwarves and hobbits, but not as well with elves. :-D You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friend's nose.
Don't forget to add they work the night shift in Tescos on the High Street.

You know, with the explosion of developers, Microsoft have found they don't have enough GUID's. That's why .NET does not use them, because there aren't enough to go around. I'd keep those 10,000 if I was you, or at least put them on ebay. I hear they are selling for a lot more than you're offering. LOL - I just tried that as well, although I did not realise you'd beat me to it. Christian No offense, but I don't really want to encourage the creation of another VB developer. - Larry Antram 22 Oct 2002
