There are a few times in a developers life where the unexplainable happens. I'm not talking UFO's or the abolishment of taxes. I'm talking about why some code that should work, just doesn't. Example: A colleague of mine has dual monitors. He developed a website that has a background image set in CSS. All fine and dandy...... until he moves the browser from one monitor to the other. The background is not visible on one but is on another!!! How strange!

    different resolutions, perhaps?

It's more worrying when you have code that shouldn't work, but does.

My boss seems to be suffering from that. The spooky thing is that it seems to transfer to my wife once I am home.

It's more worrying when you have code that shouldn't work, but does.

I had that happen last week. It worked fine here. We sent it to the customer and it didn't work. With the changes I made, there was no way it could have ever worked here. Now the customer is calling saying it doesn't work again. I have a feeling whatever changed when it went to the customer got changed back now. I should put a button on the screen that says "Click here if not working" and have the code toggle between the two ways of running. Now that I brought it up, I just got the eerie feeling that this has probably been done to fix a problem.
