The other day i was talking to my father and i said to him this is equal equal to this and then I said to myself OMG I am comparing this in normal life like in C syntax if (x == y). Have you ever done this or its just me?

Not syntax, but I've used xor to be more specific about what I meant (since "or" is ambiguous in spoken language and can mean "one or both" or "one or the other").

Not really for speaking, other than having it make me fairly pedantic. I find that I actually use Visual Studio key shortcuts in other programs a lot. The big ones that I do without thinking are CTRL+SHIFT+B and CTRL+E,D ... then I'm confused when my online pizza order doesn't build, or my status reports don't auto-format.

I suggest you see a neurologist, for this among many other reasons.

I keep trying to use Ctrl+M,O and Shift+Del in other editors, generally to no effect (or something else happens and I spend a few minutes trying to undo it...).

You let him shock you for an hour? You'd probably be the type to press a button every 108 minutes because somebody told you it was important.

about half way through the procedure, I began to ask myself the same question. :) My two middle toes on the left foot have no feeling anymore. From diabetes or from torture, no one will really ever know.

It may not have changed the way I speak. BUT my hand writing and spelling is shocking. I find it hard not to joinTheWordsUp in sentences. I find myself unable to spell other words that don't start with the letter T, i.e. TShirt or TJunction or TService. I also join andalso and orelse by habit although this is probably a curse of VB.NET. And lastly when I type "I", I sometimes end up with ICan't write!

Never mind speaking the way you program. Try writing (with an actual pen and paper) and you find yourself unsure of how to spell! So now you try and spell farewell and you end up having to think how the "e" looks so you imagine the keyboard and rememember "qwerty" and only then remember how the "e" looks. Sad part is why you never forget what the "wasd" looks like :)

Just the opposite for me. I couldn't get people to understand what I was saying so I went to work with computers.

It's not only that! When I'm at VBA or AutoLISP, I tend to do the things just like C#: creating classes, properties, etc. :-) (anything near that, or course  )
