I heard a rumor that Spain started out as a vast, empty country with only one bandit living in the center of it. The first person who visited the area was robbed and stranded. Long story short, every person in Spain is living there because his or her bag was stolen. Kind of the opposite of Australia - Spain is where all the victims of crime end up living.

It'll be interesting to see if you get more flames from Spaniards, or Aussies!

I was using the discrete approach, but you nailed it!

        That makes more sense.

That comes back to my original question about inflation. PPV can't be more expensive than the real thing, can it? On the other hand, I have no idea how much the real thing costs in Spain. :-D

Aussies won't flame. They might hunt me down and skin me, but they won't flame me.

Really? Last time I was in Spain nothing really bad happened. Only a hooker tried to earn some quick money. Do you think the poor girl was just stranded there and I was so cruel not to help?

I think you quite nearly ended up being a Spainard yourself.

E-mail from Spain: I made a quick trip to Madrid in Spain for a Volunteer Training Program (VTP),my bag with cash, mobile phone and credit cards in it were Stolen from me at the Hotel Park where I Lodged. I've made contact with my bank but they need more time to come up with a new one. I need you to lend me some money to sort my self out of this predicament, I will pay back immediately I get this over with. Right now I need about €1150 Euro which is to settle my hotel bills and other expenses. Please let me know if you can help me.

The poor guys. Just last week someone in exactly the same situation wrote me and asked for only €600. Is inflation that bad in Europe?

                  :)

you got a deal, last one I got wanted double that...

Common sense is not a gift it's a curse. Those of us who have it have to deal with those that don't.... Be careful which toes you step on today, they might be connected to the foot that kicks your butt tomorrow. You can't scare me, I have children.

My son spent a semester in that Underworld and managed one of their more colorful parades. From his description, there were a lot of flamin' Aussies.
