YOLO

"YOLO" is what you say when you mean carpe diem, but your vocabulary is limited to that of a six year old. I've noticed people have started putting it in their names on other sites. As far as I know, no one has done so here yet, so: FIRST!11!!11one! This may be a good time to put "YOLO" in the list of censored words. expecting univotes any minute now :)

YOLO (You only live once) is frequently used to justify doing something dangerous. a: "You going to go skydiving?" b: "YOLO" But it really shouldn't be used in that context as it's quite ambiguous. For example if some one asked me if I were going to go skydiving I might say "YOLO" (I wouldn't, but for arguments sake let's pretend I would) as a way of saying hell no. You see, since I will only live once, I don't want that one time to be cut short, so maybe I should exercise a little bit of caution.

I've started noticing this on sites like Failbook, but it seems to be an American thing. I have no idea what it stands for.

"stupid" in the context of people who wear their trousers round their knees rather than their waist is a relative term... :-D
